Glycerin holds a large component of the product, this ingredient is a natural moisturizer that’s also in our skin. Its ability to keep the skin lipids between our skin cells in a healthy state, protecting our skin against irritation and fortification of the barrier, makes it a popular ingredient among many skincare brands.
Lauric acid is a fatty acid that can be found naturally in coconut milk, coconut oil, laurel oil, and palm kernel oil. As a skincare ingredient, it can be used as an emulsifier or as a cleansing agent. According to a study done in 2009, Lauric acid is able to dilute the concentration P. acnes by 15 times which is a type of bacteria responsible for the growth of acne.
Allantoin is another ingredient loved by many brands, it is a common ingredient that can be found in a wide range of products from cleansers to your moisturizers. It's not only soothing but it's also skin-softening and can promote wound healing.
Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Centella Asiatica Extract and Madecassoside are also popular ingredients to use among brands for it’s wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties. In recent years, the term Centella and its active compounds such as cica and madecassoside have been making more appearances in the market, causing there to be a higher demand for products with Centella or its derivatives nowadays.
Algae Extract is a humectant that helps draw moisture into the skin for hydration, while its smoothing abilities makes it an emollient and skin conditioner.
This cleanser has a whipped texture, reminiscent of most foam cleansers. It lathers up easily and doesn’t have any intrusive smell. The emollients in the product allow for smooth application and a quick rinse will suffice for product removal.
How I Use it
In my opinion, a good cleansing routine is definitely the most important step in your skincare regimen, at least for my skin type. Personally, I have sensitive dehydrated-oily skin so it is easy for me to tell if a skincare product does not suit me. A wrong cleanser would leave my face feeling taut and the dryness I feel is unexplainable. I tend to avoid foam cleansers and stick to those with a gel texture, though it is hard to find one that cleanses thoroughly as well.
Though the A'PIEU Madecassoside Cleansing Foam is a foam cleanser, the ingredient list full of goodies convinced me to give it a try!
After a solid 1 month of using the A'PIEU Madecassoside Cleansing Foam, I have noticed that It cleanses thoroughly without irritating or stripping too much moisture off my skin. My skin feels cleansed and refreshed after using the product, without the dryness.
I personally use it after removing impurities, sunscreen or makeup with the IUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil. I take a moderate amount of product and lather it up, massaging the foam onto my face gently for at least 45 seconds before rinsing it off thoroughly with lukewarm water.
The ingredient list and benefits of this A'PIEU Madecassoside Cleansing Foam makes it suitable and versatile for many skin types and weather conditions, making it travel friendly. The A'PIEU Madecassoside Cleansing Foam Is definitely a must if you are looking for an affordable deep cleansing but gentle cleanser!
